Ernst Khashimovich Akramov


Born on June 24, 1936, in the city of Frunze - a Soviet, Kyrgyz scientist-surgeon, humanist, state and public figure, philanthropist.

Biography

Graduated from secondary school No. 10 in Frunze.

In 1960, he graduated from the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute and worked as a surgeon at the 2nd City Clinical Hospital (Frunze).

From 1964 to 1967, he was a graduate student at the Department of Operative Surgery of the same institute. He then worked as a resident in the thoracic surgery department of the Republican Clinical Hospital (1967-1971), head of the surgical department of the 2nd City Clinical Hospital (1971-1975); assistant and associate professor at the Department of Hospital Surgery of the Kyrgyz Medical Institute (1975-1980); head of the general surgery department of the Republican Clinical Hospital (1981-1992).

Since 1992, he has been the head of the general surgery department of the Chui Regional Combined Hospital.

Simultaneously, he has been the director of the Scientific Center for Reconstructive and Restorative Surgery of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic (since 2002) and a professor at the Department of Hospital Surgery of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (since 2003).

Multiple champion of the republic in sports gymnastics, member of the Kyrgyz SSR national gymnastics team.

Fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, Uzbek, and English.

Political and Public Activity

From 1989 to 1992, he was a people's deputy of the USSR. Elected on an alternative basis and against the will of the party apparatus of the republic, which actively worked against the independent candidate E. Akramov.

In 1998, together with a group of like-minded individuals, he founded the action party "My Country" (Menin Olkom). In the 2000 parliamentary elections, he headed the party list of "My Country" and was elected as a deputy but refused the deputy mandate in favor of his colleagues.

Since October 15, 2007, he has been a member of the "Ak Jol" People's Party (in October 2007, four parties merged into a single People's Party "Ak Jol"). In the 2007 elections, he was among the top five of the party list of the People's Party "Ak Jol" and was elected as a deputy of the 4th convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh. He was a member of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Legality, and Human Rights; combined work in parliament with medical practice.

Since 2010, he has been a member of the "Commonwealth" party.

Founder and leader of the charitable cultural project "Akramov Evenings," aimed at supporting young performers and classical music art in Kyrgyzstan.

Scientific Activity

In 1967, he defended his candidate dissertation.

He developed and implemented unique surgical operations, many of which still have no analogs in the world. He has trained 17 doctors and candidates of medical sciences. Participant and organizer of international conferences and symposiums. Leading specialist in vascular, gastrointestinal surgery, resuscitation, surgical gastroenterology, chest trauma, purulent surgery, and reconstructive-restorative operations on the urinary organs and pancreas.

Author of more than 306 scientific works, 16 monographs, and 23 patents for inventions.
