Akmatov Bekbolot Akmatovich
Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Doctor of the Kyrgyz Republic, member of the Union of Writers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Born in 1936. In 1960, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute. Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Faculty Surgery of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
His main scientific works are dedicated to the development of new methods for the diagnosis and surgical treatment of one of the global problems—echinococcosis, new methods for the differential diagnosis of focal liver lesions and their treatment. He developed and implemented in practice a thermal treatment of the echinococcal cyst cavity after preliminary aspiration of echinococcal fluid using an electric pump, by filling the cavity of the fibrous capsule with a furacillin solution, in which the main active factor against the parasite is high temperature. Currently, echinococcectomy and the supply of steam for the purpose of disinfecting the parasite are carried out using a specially designed and created device—the echinococcometer (trocar).
Under his guidance, 4 doctoral and 9 candidate dissertations have been prepared and defended. He has published 80 scientific works, released one monograph, and one textbook in the Kyrgyz language on surgery. He is the author of 9 inventions.
Main inventions:
1. Immunochemiluminescent method for the diagnosis of echinococcosis. Author's certificate No. 1205894, 1985.
2. Thermal method for disinfecting echinococcosis “Method for treating echinococcosis.” Author's certificate No. 1281255, 1987.
3. Cell damage indicator (Method for diagnosing echinococcosis). Author's certificate No. 20/4874, 1994.
4. Method for diagnosing echinococcosis. Preliminary patent of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 91, 1996.
