Mamitov Mitalip Mamitovich
Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Full Member of the New York Academy, Honored Doctor of the Kyrgyz Republic, Academician, Honored Figure of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Full Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honorary Member of the Presidium of the Association of Neurosurgeons of Russia.
Born in 1939. Graduated from the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute in 1966.
Currently serves as the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy and is the Chief Neurosurgeon of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
His research focuses on the main problems of neurosurgery: brain tumors, traumatic brain injury, herniated intervertebral discs, surgical aspects of inflammatory diseases of the brain, neurogenic dystrophy of internal organs. Throughout his practical career, he has performed more than five thousand complex surgeries on the brain and spinal cord. His work as a neurosurgeon is highly regarded by leading neurosurgeons from Russia, Japan, the USA, and the Netherlands.
Member of the editorial board of the journal "Healthcare of Kyrgyzstan" and the journal "Neurosurgery and Neurology of Kazakhstan" (2008).
Awarded the "Dank" medal, recognized as the "Person of the Year 2000" by the World Geographic Institute (USA), and awarded the Gold Medal "One in a Million" by the Cambridge International Biographical Centre (England).
Awarded Honorary Diplomas from the Associations of Neurosurgeons of Russia and Uzbekistan, and the Gold Medal of the World Intellectual Property Organization (2008).
Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 7 candidate dissertations have been defended.
Published more than 180 scientific works, 9 textbooks, 3 monographs, and is the author of 6 inventions and 26 rationalization proposals.
