The General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the international internet platform operating in the country was not registered with the tax authorities, which led to the necessity of tax payments.
“During the analysis of the submitted documents, it was established that the international online service 'T.' was conducting its commercial activities in the territory of Kyrgyzstan without the appropriate tax registration,” the prosecutor's office stated.
In cooperation with the State Tax Service, measures were taken to eliminate violations, which allowed the company to be registered with the tax authorities of the republic. As a result, tax payments amounting to 2 million 885 thousand US dollars (251 million soms) were received into the accounts of the authorized body,” the statement added.
It was previously reported that the Chinese marketplace Temu successfully completed tax registration in Kyrgyzstan and began paying taxes.
