The sentence for the other participants in the case remains unchanged.
Today, the Bishkek City Court increased the sentence for Irina Karamushkina in connection with the events that took place in Koi-Tash.
Previously, the prosecution insisted that Karamushkina's prison term be increased from 7.5 to 8 years, while for the other defendants they proposed to keep the sentence unchanged.
At today's session of the Bishkek City Court, the prosecution received support, and Karamushkina's prison term was increased to 8 years.
We remind you that in June of this year, the Pervomaisky District Court of the capital issued a ruling on the case concerning the events that occurred in Koi-Tash on August 7-8, 2019. Irina Karamushkina was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment. This case involves 20 people, including former president Almazbek Atambayev, who received 11 years and 3 months in prison with confiscation of property and deprivation of state awards.
