Internet in Kyrgyzstan

As of today, there are 75 internet providers operating in Kyrgyzstan, with a total of 5,774,869 subscribers, of which 88.8% are mobile internet users. Wired internet is accessible to 600,000 subscribers, which constitutes 9.23% of the total.

The Megacom trademark is owned by the company "Alfa Telecom".

All three major mobile operators in the country—"Alfa Telecom" (Megacom), "SkyMobile" ("Beeline"), and "NUR Telecom" ("O")—have licenses to provide internet services to their clients. Additionally, the company "KT Mobile" (trademark "Salam") under OJSC "Kyrgyztelecom" also holds this right.

As previously mentioned, in addition to "Kyrgyztelecom," internet services in the Kyrgyz Republic are provided by companies such as "AsiaInfo," "Elcat," "AKNET," "SAIMA TELECOM," "Extra Line," "KyrRosCom," "DAN," "Kyrgyz Transit Telecom," "Ivory" ("Aiwory"), "FastNet," "IP NET," "Mega-Line," and "InterLink."

The following providers are also included: "I-Space," "MDN Group," "Transfer Group," "Transfer Ltd.," "Asia Unicom," "Aitel," "Arma Media Group," "VisorLine," "Global Asia Telecom," "Ipswich," "ISATEL," "Netline," "Promenergoservice Plus," "TelComData," "Satcom," "Skynet Telecom," "Timur-Temuchin," "Flynet," "UniLink," "Kyrgyz Trans Telecom," "Abatel," "Anfeya," "Solidno," "Stater," "K-SPORT," "InformCommunications," "Smart Connect LTD," and "ExNet."

In addition, the right to provide internet services is held by the Association of Telecommunications Operators of the Kyrgyz Republic, the design institute "Ak-Bashat," the scientific-computer association "AKNET," the Radio Engineering Center "RCT," the channels "Dolon TV" and "Ala TV," the state enterprise "Transcom," the branch of the association "TelService LTD," the company "Energo Service Stroy," and private entrepreneur Evgeny Igorevich Lukashkin.

This list also includes lesser-known providers such as "Comservice," "G-Net," "TELSTROY," "FastLine," "Optima-Telecom," "Mirax GROUP," "BASAMA," "Kejji-Ayiks," "ViNET," "FiberLinks," "CompService Plus," "TRK and Co," "TEYYA," "SKYNET GROUP," "Last Mile," "Econet," and "RETN." The well-known provider in the capital, "Homeline," apparently is a trademark of one of the aforementioned companies, as it was not found in the list provided by the State Communications Agency.

Of these providers, 10 companies offer internet purchased from Kazakhstan, Russia, and China. The others obtain traffic from these local suppliers and ensure further distribution across the country. However, despite this extensive list, there are still large areas in most regions of Kyrgyzstan that are not covered by cable internet. Complete coverage in the country is mainly provided only by "Kyrgyztelecom."
