It is reported that the secretariat for the preparation and conduct of the games expresses confusion regarding the information published on September 1 by one of the republican online publications, which allegedly outlines financial data that has been declared and spent inefficiently.
In this regard, the secretariat states that the funds allocated for the preparation and conduct of the nomad games are being used purposefully according to the action plan for improving infrastructure and supporting specific facilities in the Issyk-Kul region, which includes the main venues for the event, informational support for the games, and other organizational matters.
“No funds have been spent on renting an office for the secretariat, as the office located at 100 Razzakov Street (the former 'Asel' atelier) has been provided by the Administration of the President and Government of the Kyrgyz Republic free of charge.
Stationery supplies, as well as all office equipment for the secretariat staff, have also been provided by the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, which will be returned after the games are completed.
The mentioned salaries for the staff are not allocated, as all secretariat employees have been seconded from the relevant ministries and departments of the Kyrgyz Republic for the duration of the preparation and conduct of the games; accordingly, salaries are paid at their primary places of work and not more,” the statement noted.
Significant funds for the preparation and conduct of the nomad games have been allocated by partners and sponsors. Thus, the financial resources for the items mentioned in the online publication, such as “production of videos and a promotional film about Kyrgyzstan,” banners, “promotion” of the games, and broadcasting on TV and radio (through media partnership agreements with television channels and radio stations) are absolutely not provided for in the state budget and are fully covered by sponsorship funds.
$4,000 has been spent on creating and supporting the website, not the $130,000 in total mentioned in the online publication.
At the same time, budget funds amounting to 72.5 million soms are being directly spent on the reconstruction of the racetrack, which will accommodate 7,000 spectators after reconstruction, instead of the previous 600 seats.
“At the same time, all existing infrastructure will remain in Kyrgyzstan, and the racetrack will be used in the future in the Issyk-Kul region for the benefit of the people of Kyrgyzstan, for the development of tourism and sports in the republic,” the secretariat noted.
We also inform you that following the completion of the nomad games, the secretariat plans to hold an extended press conference with the participation of sponsors, where all information regarding the spent sponsorship funds will be provided additionally.
For its part, the secretariat believes that the dissemination of such false information is provocative in nature and does not contribute positively to the support of the games, which have confirmed their participation by guests and sports teams from Azerbaijan, Bashkortostan, Belarus, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Tatarstan, and Chuvashia.
The main events of the Games will be broadcast live on the channels OTRK, ELTR, TRT “Avaz” (Turkey), MIR (CIS), and NTS. More than 100 Kyrgyz journalists and representatives of international media in Kyrgyzstan will be accredited to cover the event, and more than 30 foreign media outlets have already been accredited, including the BBC (UK), Channel “Russia” (RF), TRT “Avaz” (Turkey), as well as representatives of media from Turkey, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, the USA, the UK, Russia, and the Netherlands.
