Alimkulov Samsaly Amanovich
Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Engineering Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic, Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize in Science and Technology. Born in 1955. In 1978, he graduated from the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute named after V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin. In 1995, he was appointed General Director of GPES “Kyrgyztelecom”, and from May 1997 to 2000, he served as Chairman of the Board of JSC “Kyrgyztelecom”. Currently, he works as the head of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at KTU named after I. Razzakov.
His area of expertise is optical and digital information processing. His inventions were implemented in 1986-1989 in the Ministry of Communications of Kyrgyzstan: “Computer Control of Communication Switching Systems” and “Microprocessor Controller in Switching and Transmission Communication Systems”. He underwent internships in Japan, France, and the USA. He has trained about 1000 highly qualified specialists of international level in the field of computer science and digital communications.
Under his leadership, the following projects have been implemented:
1. Telecommunications project. Approximately 2000 km of digital radio relay telecommunications trunk lines were built, connecting all regions in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, and several districts.
2. Projects for the development of rural communications. Telephone network and public access center for digital communication services (village of Madaniyat, Chui region) and public access centers for digital communication services in 24 rural settlements of the republic.
3. Socially significant projects in rural areas. 17 projects in several villages of the Chui region for the construction of water supply systems, creation of computer classrooms, restoration of rural clubs, fruit orchards, Internet centers, and telephone stations.
He has been awarded a Certificate of Honor from the CIS Communications Association (Russia), a Certificate of Honor from the Kyrgyz Republic, and a jubilee medal “Manas-1000”.
He has published over 100 scientific publications and 2 monographs and is the author of 5 inventions.

3. Method of accessing information in a disk holographic memory device. Patent No. 1735871, 1992.
