As reported on May 15 by the head of the local district state administration, Bakyt Ryspaev, the company is currently supporting the implementation of projects aimed at restoring the district's irrigation system. During the work, the daily regulation basins will be cleaned and reinforced, irrigation channels will be restored, river embankments will be strengthened, and the Ton reservoir will be expanded.
The plan includes the restoration of three BSRs (Basin Storage Reservoirs), which will provide irrigation water for 15,000 hectares of arable land. They were built during the Soviet era and have not been renovated for a long time, resulting in a decrease in their capacity.
The company also promised to restore the pasture roads at the Ton and Konur-Olon passes. Residents of the district drive their livestock along these roads to the summer pastures, despite the fact that the roads have not been repaired since Soviet times.
