Two applications for the registration of candidates for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh were rejected by the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums.

According to reports from the CEC press service, the refusals were received by Kurmanbek Jooshbaev and Rahim Asanova.

The reason for the rejection was non-compliance with the legal requirements, according to which candidates must have permanently resided in Kyrgyzstan for at least five years.

Also, Kubanychbek Nurmatov, who was nominated as a candidate for the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, submitted a request to withdraw from participating in these elections.

According to the Central Election Commission, as of October 22, 29 candidates have been registered, including current deputies such as Erlan Kokulov, Aigul Aydarova, Balbak Tulobaev, and others.
