The Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan has changed.

Nurlan Koichukeev, who served as the acting deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission, decided to resign from his position. However, he will remain a member of the commission, as reported by representatives of the CEC.

Today, a new deputy chairman was elected at the commission meeting — Bakhadyr Konurov.

Bakhadyr Konurov was nominated to the Central Election Commission from the "Isheni" party by parliamentary quota, while Nurlan Koichukeev was appointed by presidential quota.

The majority of commission members supported the decision to change the leadership.
