Illegal import of fuel and lubricants from Kazakhstan reaches tens of thousands of tons.

According to him, the illegal supply of fuel is facilitated by the devaluation of the tenge, which makes products from the neighboring country significantly cheaper compared to prices in Kyrgyzstan.
The Minister of Economy claims that if everything remains as it is, it will undoubtedly lead to a reduction in the volumes of official imports. Payments to the state budget in the form of excise tax and VAT will decrease, as honest market participants pay taxes in full, unlike illegal suppliers who evade taxation.
- We are currently working on the issue of reducing the excise tax to lower costs. Currently, the rate is 5,000 soms per ton, and we plan to reduce it to 3,000 soms. This decision will be made collectively at the government level, - noted the official.
Meanwhile, entrepreneurs are "attacking" the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border, dissatisfied that since October 8, they are prohibited from importing fuel from Kazakhstan, as well as flour, which is cheaper in Kazakhstan than in Kyrgyzstan.
Note: The Ministry of Economy has already developed a draft document that prohibits ordinary citizens from transporting petroleum products (including light and medium distillates, kerosene, gas oils, diesel fuel) outside of the fuel tank and in volumes greater than 20 liters.
