Kyrgyzstan to Start Supplying Meat and Dairy Products to the Russian Market

The list includes 15 Kyrgyz enterprises engaged in the production of dairy and meat products, as well as fish processing.
- The work that the Kyrgyz Republic has done within the framework of the roadmap for joining the EAEU has allowed us to approach the Russian Federation and obtain access for our enterprises' products to its market, particularly for those products that undergo thermal treatment, – said Oleg Pankratov. – Thus, 15 Kyrgyz producers are allowed to supply low-risk products to the territory of the Russian Federation starting from February 8, 2016: ready-to-eat meat products that have undergone thermal treatment, dairy products that have undergone thermal treatment, as well as fish products.
The list of Kyrgyz enterprises authorized to supply products to the Russian Federation is posted on the official website of Rosselkhoznadzor. Due to the lack of experience in supplying such products from Kyrgyzstan to Russia, it is necessary to ensure the import of the specified products under enhanced laboratory control, with the selection of at least 10 samples regardless of the type of product from each Kyrgyz producer for safety testing.
- Previously, the Kyrgyz Republic could only supply its products to neighboring regions of Kazakhstan, but now our enterprises have the opportunity to enter the large Russian market. The success of our products in Russia will depend primarily on the enterprises themselves – how actively they can promote their products in the Russian market, – explained the Deputy Prime Minister.
