In order to improve the situation in the market, the Service proposed that the Ministry of Economy and Commerce consider a number of measures to alleviate price pressure:
- temporarily reduce the tax burden, including excise tax, VAT, contributions to the Road Fund, and other fees, which account for about 20% of the cost of fuel;
- provide domestic oil traders with revolving credits for purchasing fuel from Russian refineries at new, higher prices, which has already proven effective in conditions of working capital shortages.
Oil traders assured that they would ensure stable fuel supplies until the end of 2025 and fulfill all obligations under the agreement with the Service.
The antimonopoly service emphasized that the fuel market is under constant monitoring. Regular working meetings are held, data is analyzed, and information is transmitted to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
