According to information received from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, a 15% increase in fuel prices is predicted in Kyrgyzstan.

Experts have determined that the main reasons for this price hike are geopolitical events in Russia and a shortage of petroleum products. As a result, Kyrgyz oil traders are facing supply restrictions, as Russian producers prefer clients willing to pay more.

To stabilize the situation in the market, the antimonopoly service has proposed that the Ministry of Economy and Commerce consider the possibility of temporarily reducing taxes, including excise duties, VAT, and environmental fees, as well as providing preferential loans to oil traders for purchasing fuel at the new, higher prices.

Representatives of oil traders assured that fuel supplies to the country will continue without disruptions until the end of 2025.

The antimonopoly service continues to monitor changes in the market and analyze price fluctuations.
