Special attention has been given to the development of road infrastructure in the Bishkek area. Active work is underway on sections Bishkek — Kant, Bishkek — Kuntuu — Shopokov, Lebedinovka — HPP-5, and the construction of the northern bypass road of the capital is also being carried out. As part of investment programs, the reconstruction of roads such as Korumdu — Balbai Baatyr and the section from the village of Barskoon to Karakol continues, as well as Suusamyr — Talas — Taraz. In addition, the construction of a 748-meter tunnel on the Bishkek — Osh highway has begun.
According to the Ministry of Transport, this year more than 1200 kilometers of roads have been asphalted in the country, which is a record figure for recent years.
