In Kyrgyzstan, over 1200 kilometers of roads will be built and renovated by 2025

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan has announced the completion of several significant road projects this year. The press service of the agency shared information about the achieved results.

Among the key areas of work were the construction and reconstruction of roads such as Barskoon — Bedel, Balakchi — Bokonbaev — Karakol, as well as Ala-Buka — Zhanı-Bazar — Kirovka and Naryn — Bayetov.

Special attention has been given to the development of road infrastructure in the Bishkek area. Active work is underway on sections Bishkek — Kant, Bishkek — Kuntuu — Shopokov, Lebedinovka — HPP-5, and the construction of the northern bypass road of the capital is also being carried out. This project includes the creation of a new six-lane highway, which is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion and increase capacity.

In 2025, the major repair of 33 kilometers of the road Uzgen — Myrzake — Kara-Kulja was completed, and the reconstruction of the routes Osh — Batken — Razzakov and Tyup — Kegen was also carried out. In addition, the central street in Cholpon-Ata has been renovated.

Long-awaited projects for the improvement of the roads Osh — Batken — Razzakov and Tyup — Kegen have also been implemented, which play an important role in the development of the tourism industry and strengthening regional ties.

As part of investment programs, the reconstruction of roads such as Korumdu — Balbai Baatyr and the section from the village of Barskoon to Karakol continues, as well as Suusamyr — Talas — Taraz. In addition, the construction of a 748-meter tunnel on the Bishkek — Osh highway has begun.

According to the Ministry of Transport, this year more than 1200 kilometers of roads have been asphalted in the country, which is a record figure for recent years.
