According to the mayor, more than 15,000 seedlings have already been planted as part of the city's initiatives.
“It was noted at the eco-council that 15,000 seedlings may not be enough for our city, so we decided to purchase an additional 50,000 seedlings. They will be placed in nurseries, and in the spring of next year, we will begin planting them,” Junushaliev reported.
The city head added that preference will be given to deciduous trees, which serve multiple functions. “In addition, we received recommendations from international organizations that specify 9 types of trees suitable for the urban environment,” the mayor noted.
