Archive Case in the City of Osh
Archives in Osh
The archive has always been a repository of the history of the people, the state, and individual personalities. Without an archive, there is no history. That is why an archival service was organized from the very first day of the formation of the city of Osh. The archival department in the city was established in 1940. It concentrated all the documents of the city authorities and regional organizations.
The party archive was organized in 1941. Here, 738 primary party and 561 Komsomol organizations had 2 funds, which contained 383 cases. In 1986, 142 funds were collected, including 1,338 party and 117 Komsomol, totaling 163,917 cases. More than 5,000 cases are accepted for storage annually. Since 1986, 5 people have been working here. The archival affairs were managed by M. Tokmachev, E. Filippova, K. Nogoybaev, T. Tezekbaev, M. Abdullin, A. Bakchiev, A. Kaparov, N. Skripko, T. Abdykadyrov, E. Nazarkulov, K. Bakuyeva, R. Aiziraliyev, and others. Among the archival workers, N. Bakchiev and T. Abdykadyrov are especially fondly remembered for their significant contributions to strengthening the material base of archival institutions.
