Temir Bikboev won a silver medal in pencak silat

At the III Asian Youth Games in Manama (Bahrain), Kyrgyzstani Temir Bikboev won a silver medal in the discipline of pencak silat.

As reported by the State Agency for Physical Culture, Bikboev competed in the weight category from 59 to 63 kg.

The Kyrgyzstan team in pencak silat is coached by Kanaybek Bikboev.

Pencak silat is an Indonesian martial art that combines combat techniques with cultural and philosophical elements. This discipline encompasses both unarmed fights and those using weapons. The name can be translated as "the art of self-defense" (pencak) and "combat application" (silat).
