At the World Youth Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling taking place in Serbia, Kyrgyz wrestler Yryskeldi Khamzaev confidently advanced to the quarterfinals.

The competition is held in the weight category up to 72 kg, where the athlete began his performance from the round of 16.

His first opponent was a wrestler from Serbia, whom Khamzaev defeated with an impressive score of 9:0, allowing him to move on to the next round, where he will face a representative from Armenia.





Nurbulot Berdikulov, competing in the weight category up to 55 kg, also reached the quarterfinals, winning against an Israeli wrestler with the same score of 9:0 in just 48 seconds. In the next round, his opponent will be Armin Saadi Shamsipurkhali from Iran.





Bayaman Karimov, wrestling in the 63 kg category, also achieved an early victory in his first match against an Israeli and is now preparing to face an Azerbaijani wrestler in the round of 16.

Unfortunately, Nurmanbet Raymaly uulu in the weight category up to 97 kg suffered a defeat in his first match with a score of 0:8 against an athlete from Estonia, and Nurbulot Toktogonov (up to 130 kg) could not advance further after the consolation tournament, losing to a wrestler from Georgia and being eliminated from medal contention.
