Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrov noted that in addition to trams, the city administration continues to develop the cable car project. Currently, the concept and feasibility study for this project have already been developed; however, the cable cars will primarily be aimed at tourists.
Experts from the research institute in St. Petersburg, who worked on the general plan, proposed the implementation of a tram network to improve public transport and combat traffic congestion. This proposal was discussed at a meeting of the road council of the city hall and included in the new general plan for the city until 2050. More detailed information will be available after the publication of the document for public discussion.
