The agency noted that "the Kyrgyz Republic strictly adheres to international obligations and actively engages in constructive dialogue with the European Union to prevent potential risks associated with circumventing sanctions."
Furthermore, it emphasizes that the EU has expressed its intention to develop a strategic partnership with Central Asia, including the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz side is ready for equal and mutually respectful cooperation with the EU and its member states, which, in their opinion, will yield more mutually beneficial results than unilateral sanctions.

As is known, on October 23, the countries of the European Union approved the 19th package of sanctions against Russia in connection with the conflict in Ukraine. These measures affect Russian financial institutions, cryptocurrency exchanges, and their structures in other countries, including India and China. The sanctions list also includes 22 individuals and 45 organizations from Russia, Hong Kong, China, India, Thailand, and Kyrgyzstan. In particular, the restrictions affected "Tolubay" and "Eurasian Savings Bank." Previously, the banks "Keremet" and "Kapital" were also sanctioned.
