After the World Championship in Croatia, Ulukbek Karacholokov took over as head coach of the Kyrgyz national team, replacing Uran Kalilov, who resigned. However, this appointment has drawn criticism from Muhamed Mahmudov, who believes that Karacholokov is not suitable for this role.
“He has no experience working as a coach in a gym, and after leaving the national team, he did not engage in coaching activities. As far as I know, he was interested in horse breeding. How can a person who is involved in horse breeding become the head coach of a wrestling team?” asked Muhamed Mahmudov.
Additionally, he pointed out the failures of the Kyrgyz national team at the youth world championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia, where the team failed to win any medals. The wrestler's father believes that the team needs a more qualified and experienced coach.
So far, the Wrestling Federation has not commented on Muhamed Mahmudov's position.
