State Natural National Park "Kyrchin"
The State Natural National Park "Kyrchin" was established in August 2004 by the Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 632, covering an area of 35,000 hectares.
The purpose of establishing the State Natural National Park "Kyrchin" is to preserve the biological diversity of animal and plant life, and natural complexes in the recreational area of Lake Issyk-Kul, which have special ecological, historical-cultural, and aesthetic value.
The State Natural National Park "Kyrchin" is allocated 35,000 hectares of land, located in the Issyk-Kul district of the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic. Forest lands cover 10,214 hectares, including 3,575 hectares covered by forest. Non-forest lands total 24,786 hectares, of which 7,435 hectares are pastures, 8,179 hectares are rocky areas, 3,717 hectares are glaciers, 2,478 hectares are moraines, and other lands.
Boundaries of the State Natural National Park "Kyrchin"
The State Natural National Park "Kyrchin" borders:
to the north - with the Republic of Kazakhstan;
to the east - with the Semenovsky rural administration of the Issyk-Kul district;
to the south - with the Bosteri, Kumbel, Temir, and Grigoriev rural administrations of the Issyk-Kul district;
to the west - with the Kemin district of the Chui region.
