On February 28, the Chess Festival "Intellectual Child - the Future of Kyrgyzstan" will kick off for the first time in Bishkek, which is a tournament of rapid chess. The project is initiated by the "Bishkek Park" shopping center with the support of the Kyrgyz Chess Federation. The uniqueness of the festival is that anyone, regardless of age and chess title, can participate in the competitions.
The goals of such a unique project are to popularize and promote chess in the Kyrgyz Republic and to revive the image of Bishkek as one of the "chess capitals" of the world, a major international intellectual center.
The chess festival will have four age categories:
- 10-12 years
- 12-14 years
- 14-16 years
- 17 years and older
Judging will be conducted by three representatives from the Kyrgyz Chess Federation. In addition to the tournament, there will be a simultaneous game session with grandmasters: S. Tologon Tegin, A. Abdyjapar, N. Otorbaeva.
Moreover, there will be a grand opening with a concert show program and a game with live chess pieces. Winners will receive valuable prizes and unforgettable impressions!
