On December 11, an international tournament in Kyrgyz Kurosh, dedicated to the memory of the Kyrgyz national hero Khan Koshoy, started at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace.
The aim of the event is to promote and popularize the national sport of Kyrgyz Kurosh in the Republic, and to commemorate the memory of the national hero Khan Koshoy.
The competition features 248 athletes from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
According to the chief judge of the competition, Ilyich Dyikanov, the tournament is being held at a high level. The number of athletes wishing to participate in the tournament is twice as high as expected, and this competition will provide a good incentive for young athletes to showcase their skills.
Winners will be determined on December 12.
It is worth noting that the international tournament is being held under the auspices of the Republican Center for the Development of National Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz Kurosh Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
