He emphasized that during the development of the new general plan, these aspects were taken into account, and specific zones for the construction of schools and kindergartens were designated.
The head of "Bishkekglavarkhitektura," Meder Kydyrmaev, added that the new General Plan includes a special section dedicated to social facilities within the framework of functional zoning.
"The plan proposes sites for the construction of kindergartens, schools, and medical institutions based on the population size. Unlike the General Plan of 2006, the new document has a separate section concerning social facilities. It also includes requirements regarding the invariability of functional designation," Kydyrmaev noted.
He also reported that the principle of pedestrian accessibility has been adopted, which will allow residents to reach social facilities within 15 minutes without the need for transportation.
