The villages of Ak-Chiy and Jangy-Tilek, located in this rural district, are situated in a flood-prone area, necessitating the relocation of residents to safer regions. As a result, 147 hectares of land have been allocated in Kara-Koo for the construction of several social facilities.
On October 22, a time capsule was ceremoniously laid to mark the beginning of the construction of the first complex, which includes a school for 260 students and a mosque. The total cost of these projects is estimated at 110 million soms, with funding coming from an international charitable foundation, a regional development fund, and the local budget. The construction work will be carried out by LLC "Etalon Holding," with completion scheduled for the end of 2026.
It should be noted that as early as 2010, the Ministry of Emergency Situations designated the areas of the villages of Ak-Chiy and Jangy-Tilek as uninhabitable due to frequent floods in the spring and during rainy seasons. Therefore, a site in Kara-Koo was chosen for the relocation of residents, where the new settlement of Ak-Tilek is planned to be built.
According to the developed master plan, the new village is expected to have 432 households, 71 modern townhouses, 34 residential buildings with two and three stories, two schools with 270 places each, one mosque, four kindergartens, and other facilities.
The name "Ak-Tilek" is a combination of the names of two old villages: "Ak" from Ak-Chiy and "Tilek" from Jangy-Tilek.
Previously, Turmush reported on a fundraising marathon in the village of Ak-Chiy in the Ak-Talinsky district of the Naryn region, aimed at financing the new settlement of Ak-Tilek.
One of the international foundations plans to allocate 30 million soms for the construction of social facilities in Ak-Tilek, which is yet to be established. However, according to the foundation's conditions, a personal contribution of 5 million soms is required, which led to the organization of the fundraising marathon at the cultural center of the Ak-Chiy rural administration.
The chairperson of the fundraising committee, Askar Junusov, reported that during the marathon, 878,000 soms were raised. Residents also contributed 399,000 soms from their pensions and salaries, and the local budget allocated 950,000 soms. Additionally, support was provided in the form of livestock, including 6 horses, 3 rams, 32 lambs, and 2 kids, totaling approximately 2 million 227 thousand soms.
Fundraising efforts will continue until the goal of 5 million soms is reached.
