This complex will serve as a venue for traders who previously worked at the "Kelechek," "Boston," and fruit and vegetable markets. The project plans to create over 1,300 trading spots, as well as jewelry and exchange points, sanitary facilities, a cafeteria, and parking areas.
The authorities cite the need to improve infrastructure and organize trade as the reason for relocating the existing "Kelechek" market, which is currently located on Navoi Street in the city center. About 1,200 containers were installed at the old market.
It is worth noting that some entrepreneurs previously expressed dissatisfaction with the relocation conditions, including the high cost of trading spots, tight deadlines for resettlement, and insufficient transparency in the process of allocating spots at the new market.
The municipality assures that the new market will create more comfortable and safer conditions for sellers and buyers. The completion dates for the construction work have not yet been specified.
