The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, congratulated the workers and veterans of the diplomatic service on their professional holiday.
In his address, he noted:
“Dear colleagues and veterans of the diplomatic service! I congratulate you on the Day of the Diplomatic Service Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Modern diplomacy of Kyrgyzstan is based on the deep historical heritage of our people and the wisdom of our ancestors, who for centuries built relationships with neighbors based on respect, justice, and trust.
This year is significant as we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, coinciding with a new stage in the global restructuring of the world order.
It is important to emphasize that Kyrgyzstan pursues a balanced, peace-loving, and multi-vector foreign policy, relying on the principles of international law, equality, and mutual respect. The active participation of the country in international organizations and integration associations such as the UN, SCO, CSTO, CIS, EAEU, and OIC confirms our constructive position on the world stage.
This year, Kyrgyzstan is simultaneously chairing the Organization of Turkic States and the Collective Security Treaty Organization. In September, our country will take on the responsibility of chairing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the city of Tianjin.
Significant events in the fields of politics, economics, culture, education, and sports are planned as part of the chairmanship in the SCO.
In the past two years, work has been actively ongoing to promote Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for 2027–2028, with elections scheduled for next year. In this regard, in the coming year, your professional skills and knowledge will be particularly in demand.
Dear diplomats!
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic is taking all necessary measures to attract investments in strategically important sectors of the economy, such as energy, transport, industry, logistics, digitalization, and tourism.
Our country is actively developing its transport and transit and energy potential, participating in international initiatives to combat climate change and protect mountain ecosystems.
The economic growth achieved in recent years has been made possible, in part, thanks to the efforts of our professional diplomats. Special thanks go to the employees of foreign institutions who contribute to promoting the interests of the state, establishing connections with international partners, and attracting new investments and technologies to Kyrgyzstan. The work to protect the rights of our citizens abroad is also important.
In order to expand Kyrgyzstan's diplomatic and consular presence on different continents, and with the direct support of President S.N. Japarov, embassies will be opened in countries such as France, Italy, Hungary, Mongolia, and Ethiopia from 2021 to 2025, as well as consulates in Chicago, St. Petersburg, Kazan, and Antalya. This work will continue in the future.
We are also taking significant measures to improve the material and technical base of our diplomatic and consular missions.
This year, before Independence Day, a new building for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs representation was opened in the city of Osh, serving the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions. We will continue to work on creating decent conditions for our diplomats.
Dear veterans and diplomats!
The diplomatic service of Kyrgyzstan faces important tasks, the resolution of which requires your daily efforts, dedication, and sincere love for your profession.
I am confident that the many years of experience of the veterans of domestic diplomacy and their life wisdom will serve as a professional guide for young specialists who are just beginning their journey in diplomacy.
I wish you and your loved ones health, family well-being, harmony, and new professional successes,” the chairman concluded.
