Adylbek Kasymaliev, head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, participated in a festive event dedicated to three important anniversaries: the centenary of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration, the 120th anniversary of the trade union movement in the country, and the professional holiday of Social Fund workers.

In his address, Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of three key institutions: the social protection system, the Social Fund, and trade unions, which play a central role in ensuring the welfare of citizens and social justice, thereby reflecting the country's progress.

On behalf of President Sadyr Japarov and the entire Cabinet of Ministers, he congratulated social sector specialists on their professional holiday and the anniversary dates.

The head of government noted that trade unions are crucial in establishing labor rights and social justice. He highlighted their active participation in the development of a new Labor Code and the signing of a Tripartite General Agreement, as well as in the implementation of state social policy. An important task is also to adapt trade unions to modern challenges while preserving their core function of protecting the rights of workers and ensuring social justice.

Kasymaliev highlighted the achievements of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration, noting its significant journey over the past 100 years. He pointed out that 298,000 citizens, including 190,000 children from 53,000 families, receive state benefits, as well as 107,000 people, among whom 37,000 are children with disabilities.

According to the Prime Minister, at the initiative of the president, over the past five years, the amount of benefits has been increased by 2-3 times, and new social programs have been implemented. The Ministry's budget for 2026 will amount to 23.3 billion soms, the network of social workers has been further expanded, funding for sanatorium and resort treatment has increased, and 77 vehicles have been transferred for the needs of the department. As of October 1, 2025, the “Balaga süyünçü” benefit has been received by 103,400 parents.

The contribution of the Social Fund was also noted: over the past five years, the number of pensioners has increased by 100,000 people, and the average pension amount has nearly doubled. For the first time, the minimum pension has been equated to the subsistence minimum.

In conclusion of his speech, Kasymaliev reaffirmed the government's commitment to balanced economic and social development, pointing to GDP growth and the need for national unity for the prosperity of the country.

At the final stage of the event, there was a ceremonial presentation of Honorary Certificates and letters of gratitude on behalf of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
