Alihanov noted that according to the Constitution, all workers, regardless of their citizenship, have equal rights. "Foreign citizens have the same rights in labor relations as locals," he emphasized. The Labor Code includes a separate article concerning foreign workers, which guarantees their protection.
He added that in the event of an injury at work, standard procedures are followed: a commission is created to investigate the incident.
"If a tragedy occurs at work, we will seek out the relatives of the victim if they do not come forward. However, the legality of a foreigner's stay is a separate issue. If a foreigner is injured, we cannot ignore their case by claiming they do not have a work permit. We will conduct an investigation, and migration issues will be handled by the relevant authorities, possibly including deportation," explained Azizbek Alihanov.
Zhenish Kazakbaev, head of the technical and legal inspection of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, added that several accidents involving Chinese citizens have been recorded in the country, and all of them underwent thorough investigations.
It is worth reminding that on October 21, an explosion occurred at a gas block production facility in Novopokrovka, resulting in the deaths of two workers.
