Every day, more than 1500 vehicles provide transportation for the residents of the capital
Soon, Bishkek will receive 95 new 12-meter Yutong buses. This was announced by Mayor Aibek Junushaliev while celebrating the professional holiday - the Day of Workers of Road Transport and Road Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Over the past three years, as part of the program, 1,000 new gas buses from China have been purchased, allowing for the replacement of more than three thousand minibuses. Additionally, with the help of international partners, 120 electric buses were acquired, 85 charging stations were installed, and bus depots No. 1 and No. 2 were completely renovated.
“Currently, more than 1500 vehicles serve the residents of Bishkek daily. In the coming days, we expect the arrival of another 95 new 12-meter Yutong buses. About 3,500 people work in this sector, of which 2,500 are drivers,” the mayor stated.
