He has been working in the Ministry of Finance since 2009
Nurbek Akzholov has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Finance, according to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Akzholov holds a higher education degree in "Finance and Credit," as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which he obtained from prestigious Japanese universities. His research focused on the impact of foreign aid on economic growth in Kyrgyzstan.
Since 2009, Nurbek Akzholov has been working in the Ministry of Finance, accumulating 16 years of experience in public service, ranging from specialist to head of department in the field of international finance.
In his professional career, he has been involved in strategic planning of public investments, including external, internal, budgetary, and off-budget sources, as well as coordinating the implementation of the conditions of the reform policy matrix for program (budget) assistance from international financial institutions and development partners. He has also actively participated in the planning, preparation, and execution of the republican budget of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Nurbek is married and raising three children.
