Iskra Liu has dedicated more than half a century to her career in the transport industry, of which 47 years she worked at the "Karabalta Automotive Enterprise." This enterprise has long been the main provider of passenger transportation for the residents of the city and surrounding villages. Currently, she manages the LLC "Absolute-Auto," which operates more than 20 public transport routes covering both the city and directions to Bishkek, as well as the villages of the Jayil and Panfilov districts.
Her professional journey began as a technician for accounting fuel and lubricants, after which she worked as a taxi driver and an accountant. Iskra has climbed all levels of the career ladder and ultimately became the head of the enterprise.
“Once, in the western part of the Chui region, there were three automotive enterprises in Sokuluk, Belovodsk, and Karabalta. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, only our bus depot survived. To ensure its operation, I had to travel daily to Bishkek for training and certification in the field of automotive transport. Thanks to this, we were able to create an organization that continued passenger transportation,” Iskra recalls.
Over the years of working in the industry, transport has undergone significant changes: large buses have given way to minibuses, and competition from private carriers has significantly increased.
She emphasizes: “Our main principles are respect for passengers and maintaining the transport in a clean and technically sound condition.”
