Natalia Solonitsyna from the city of Kara-Balta has been working as a teacher for 47 years.

In a conversation with a Turmush correspondent, the educator shared her secret to youth and talked about her teaching career.

Natalia Mikhailovna has remained loyal to one school and one profession. Born in 1958, she later received a secondary specialized pedagogical education and dedicated her life to teaching and raising children. At School No. 3 in Kara-Balta, she has been working as an elementary school teacher since 1978, also heading the pedagogical trade union committee. “Over the years of my practice, three generations of students have graduated, and I have long been a great-grandmother. I love children. I chose this profession myself and have no regrets. Children give me energy; I feel like I get a second youth with them. Of course, times change – previous parents paid more attention to upbringing, while today’s are more occupied with work. But we, experienced teachers, educate not only children but also parents. I have been retired for 13 years, but I continue to work. We teach young teachers, conduct open lessons, and share our experiences. I always tell the young ones: love children, engage in self-education, be involved in school life. The secret to success in the teaching profession is that sometimes you need to lower yourself to a child's level and speak their language. And then children become our teachers — they are indeed ‘advanced’. It’s nice when former students come from different corners of the world and say: ‘You haven’t changed, you maintain your standards.’ And this inspires me,” says Natalia Mikhailovna.

The name of Natalia Solonitsyna is well-known not only among colleagues but also among students and their parents. Over the years, she has proven herself to be a conscientious, proactive, and professionally prepared educator. Her lessons are always conducted at a high methodological level, distinguished by a variety of forms and methods of teaching, and attentive to each child. Many of her students have achieved significant success in their further education and lives and remember their first teacher fondly.

In addition to her teaching activities, she actively participates in school life: she conducts extracurricular work, shares her experience at methodological meetings and seminars, and helps young colleagues. For many years, Natalia Solonitsyna has headed the school’s trade union committee, where she has shown herself to be a responsible organizer and a reliable defender of teachers' rights, contributing to the creation of a favorable psychological climate in the team. Colleagues appreciate her for her honesty and principled stance, while students and parents value her for her warmth and care. “On Teacher's Day, I want to wish all my colleagues patience and hard work. They say our profession is thankless. But I think otherwise: when you see that your students become doctors, engineers, law enforcement officers, when they participate in Olympiads and win prizes — that is our gratitude. And when you meet a former student on the street, and they say they remember you, it fills your heart with pride,” says the teacher with many years of experience.
