Asel began her life in the At-Bashy district of Naryn region, known for being the birthplace of outstanding figures such as Kazibek kazalchi, Shailoobek Duyshiev, and Kalyybek Tagaev. Being the fourth of five children, she grew up in a family of teachers: her father was a musician, and her mother was a philologist. Their acquaintance began at the Osh Pedagogical Institute, where they studied and soon got married. After five years of working at the institute, the family moved to her father's village in At-Bashy. Her parents devoted all their efforts to their profession, considering it the meaning of life. Her father often worked at night, creating scripts for events, while her mother assisted him. Every morning, they were awakened by the music of the accordion, and her mother taught students, bringing them home to prepare for the olympiads. Asel's students always took prize places in republican competitions.
From an early age, she was ready for the teaching profession...
Asel recalls that her path was predetermined from childhood — she was preparing to become a teacher, like all her siblings except for her younger brother. The desire to become a professional like their parents was strong, and Asel and her sister chose philology, following in their mother's footsteps.
The first open lesson — an unforgettable experience...
Asel began her teaching career in her native village. Memories of her first open lesson bring a smile to her face: she came in festive attire, while her mother passed the necessary material through the students. The support of her colleagues was likely connected to their respect for her parents.
Married to a mathematician who didn't know Kyrgyz...
Her husband was born in Chui region, but his family is from the same village as Asel. He became a winner of a mathematics olympiad and continued his studies at a physics and mathematics school in Novosibirsk. After serving in the army, he spent many years in Russia, and when he returned to At-Bashy to visit his relatives, they met. Asel spoke fluent Kyrgyz, while her future husband did not know the language. Their conversation began with football, where he used Russian and she used Kyrgyz. Thus, fate brought them together, and soon they got married. The couple has a son who is in the 6th grade and jokes that his father's IQ is almost like Einstein's. Now Asel's husband speaks Kyrgyz, while she, living in Chui region, has started using Russian more often.
The teaching profession is challenging but interesting...
In Ernest Hemingway's work "The Old Man and the Sea," it is said: "A man is not made for defeat." Asel believes that teaching is a real struggle for the upbringing of a person. Secondary school No. 1 named after G.P. Kudryashov, where she works, is among the 30 innovative educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan. The educational process here is constantly evolving. Asel works not only as a Kyrgyz language teacher but also as the deputy director for educational and upbringing work. She strives to stay updated on all innovations in her profession. The support of her husband plays an important role in her life. Asel plans to undergo training abroad, dreaming of visiting Singapore and Finland to study their educational methods and expand her knowledge. She believes that a teacher must constantly learn to keep up in the profession. Reading books has been a habit for her since childhood, and now she hardly parts with them. The most important thing for Asel is to instill in her students an understanding of humanity as the highest value.
