Abdykulov Imankul Abdykulovich
Organizer of film production. Member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1963. Born on October 13, 1932, in the village of Kara-Bulak, Kemin District, in a peasant family. After completing seven years of schooling, he studied at the Frunze Pedagogical College. In 1950, he was assigned as a primary school teacher to a seven-year school in the village of Kalininsky. From 1952 to 1958, he taught at the Beishikenskaya seven-year school in Kemin District.
He began working at the Frunze Film Studio in 1958. He was a commodity manager and senior administrator in the news department. Since 1962, he has actively participated as a deputy director or film director in the creation of such films as "Street of Cosmonauts" (1963) by M. Roshal, "Dzhura" (1964) by A. Bergunker, "The First Teacher" (1965) by A. Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky, "The Sky of Our Childhood" (1966) by T. Okeeva, "Shot at the Karash Pass" (1969) by B. Shamsheev, "Ambush" (1969) by G. Bazarov, "Bow to the Fire" (1972) by T. Okeeva, "Swans Come Here" (1973), "Waterfall" (1973) by Y. Boretzky, "Red Apple" (1975) by T. Okeeva, "Kanybek" (1977) by G. Bazarov. He also established himself as a director of documentary and popular science films: "Today in Aravan" (1960), "A Tale of a Mother" (1961), "The Great Epic" (1962), "Working in a New Way" (1963), "In the Snows of Alaya" (1964).
I. Abdykulov grew into a true professional, a skilled organizer of film production. The logical outcome of his successful long-term activity was the assignment of the tariff designation— "Director of Feature Film Category." Since 1976, he has held the position of deputy director of the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio.
