Jadrinov Marlest Suleimenovich

Cinematographer. Born on February 21, 1938, in the city of Frunze in a family of civil servants. After graduating from high school in 1956, he entered the Kyrgyz State Institute of Physical Culture (graduated in 1960). In 1960-1961, he worked as a coach at the children's sports school in the city of Przhevalsk. In August 1961, he joined the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio as an assistant operator, then participated as an assistant director in the filming of the movie "Heat" (1963) by L. Shepitko. In 1964-1965, he was a master photographer on the films "White Mountains" ("Difficult Crossing") by M. Ubukeev and "The Sky of Our Childhood" by T. Okeev. From 1965 to 1972, he studied part-time at the cinematography faculty of VGIK.

From 1968 to 1971, as acting operator, he shot documentary films "The Art of the Kyrgyz SSR," "Kumuz Players," 18 stories, and special issues of the newsreel "Soviet Kyrgyzstan" — "Student Spring-69," "Spring Ala-Too," documentary films "Beshik," "Oodarysh," "The Stay of L. I. Brezhnev in Kyrgyzstan." He also successfully worked as a cinematographer in documentary cinema. He prepared documentary films "Rhythms of Kyrgyzstan" (1971), "Closeness" (1971), "The Summit of Friendship" (1972), 10 special issues of the newsreel "Soviet Kyrgyzstan," films "The Scarlet Pearl" (1973), "Kyrgyzstan-74," "Aydyn," "Edelweiss," "Anxiety," "Kyrgyzstan-75," "Our XVI," "Days of Soviet Literature in Kyrgyzstan" (all in 1975), "Kyrgyzstan—BAM," "Hello, Jailoo," "Days of Tajikistan in Kyrgyzstan," "Future Defenders of the Motherland" (all in 1976), "Kyrgyzstan — Non-Black Earth," "The Wandering Screen," "The Arrival of the President of Finland in Kyrgyzstan," "Hope" (all in 1977), "The Camp," "Foreign Diplomats in Kyrgyzstan" (1978), "Attention, Road," "Architects — to the Village" (both in 1979).

All of the operator's works testify to his constant creative growth, great operational efficiency, and good professional training.
