Makarov Alexey Grigoryevich
Film artist. Born on December 5, 1931, in the city of Gurjaani, Georgian SSR, in the family of a civil servant. After completing incomplete secondary school, he studied at the Tbilisi Art College from 1948 to 1953, and from 1953 to 1959 at the art faculty of VGIK.
He began his independent work as a costume designer on M. Chiaureli's film "The Widow of Otar" in 1958 at "Georgia-Film." His entire subsequent creative life is associated with "Kyrgyzfilm." A. Makarov was the production designer for the feature films "The Girl of Tian Shan" (1961) by A. Ochkin, "The Pass" (1961) by A. Sakharov, "Heat" (1963) by L. Shepitko, and the documentaries "The River of Happiness" (1962), "Ballerina Beyshenalieva" (1963), "Masters of Arts of Kyrgyzstan" (1963).
From 1964 to 1967, the artist at "Georgia-Film" designed the novella "The Reward" ("Pages of the Past") by G. Shengelaia and the feature film "The Deadline Expires at Dawn" by N. Nenova. From February 1967, at the invitation of B. Shamshiev, he participated in the creation of the film "Shot at the Karash Pass." Then A. Makarov worked until May 1973 in the groups of the films "Ambush" (1969) by G. Bazarov, "It's Not a Misfortune" (1969) by A. Vidugiris, "Scarlet Poppies of Issyk-Kul" (1971) by B. Shamshiev, and "Street" (1972) by G. Bazarov.
Since 1974, the artist moved to "Kyrgyztelefilm" and participated in the production of feature films "And Another Joyful Day" (1975) by A. Alpiev, "Arman" (1977) by D. Sadyrbaev, and the concert film "Masters of Arts of Kyrgyzstan" (1976). At the same time, he directed works: "On Stage - Kairgul Sartbaeva" (1976), "Sings Artyk Myrzabaev" (1978), "Melodies of Jaiyl" (1978), "The Newness of Ancient Chatkal" (1979).
Awards — Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR (1962). Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR (1969). Honorary diploma of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan (1969). Badge "Excellence in Cinematography of the USSR" (1969). Medal "For Valorous Labor" (1970).
Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR since 1962.
