In 1935, I. Kokeiev entered the Kyrgyz National Studio of Actors at the Lunacharsky GITIS in Moscow. A year later, he transferred to the directing faculty, where he studied under the outstanding master of the stage Boris Evgenievich Zakhava. After graduating in 1941, he became the director of the Kyrgyz Drama Theater and the chief director of the Naryn Drama Theater. From 1942 to 1946, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army. From 1946 to 1949, he again served as the chief director and director of the Naryn Drama Theater. He staged "The Second Brigade" by A. Osmonov, "Twenty Years Later" by M. Svetlov, "Black Cloud" by K.
