Editor. Born on May 15, 1941, in the village of Orto-Aryk, Panfilov District, in a peasant family. After graduating from secondary school No. 5 named after A. S. Pushkin in Frunze in 1959, she began working in the editing shop of the Frunze Film Studio. From 1967 to 1969, she studied part-time at the Philological Faculty of the Kyrgyz State Women's Pedagogical Institute named after V. V. Mayakovsky. In 1968, she underwent three months of training at VGIK in the department for advanced training of creative and managerial personnel in cinematography.

She received a qualification certificate as a "Film Editor".

During two decades of work at "Kyrgyzfilm," R. Sharshenova mastered the secrets of her rare profession. She edited such well-known documentary films as "Following Spring" (1967), "Muras" (1969), "Boom" (1969), "Naryn Diary" (1971), and "In the Year of the Restless Sun" (1977). She was a loyal assistant to directors of feature films such as "White Mountains" (1964) by M. Ubukeev, "The Sky of Our Childhood" (1966), "Bow to the Fire" (1972) by T. Okeeva, "Waterfall" (1973) by Yu. Boretzky, and "Red Apple" (1975) by T. Okeeva. Her immense diligence, accuracy, and artistic taste earned R. Sharshenova deep respect from the studio team and established her position as the leading editor at "Kyrgyzfilm." As acting director, she is entrusted with preparing segments for the film magazine "Soviet Kyrgyzstan".

Awards — badge "Excellence in Cinematography of the USSR" (1965). Honorary diploma from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR (1969). Medal "For Labor Distinction" (1971).

Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR since 1976.
