Dzhumabajev Belek
Graphic artist. Painter. Born in 1939 in the village of Jetty-Oguz, Issyk-Kul region.
In 1960, he graduated from the Frunze Art College. He worked as an art editor for the republican magazine "Zhan leninchi". Dzhumabajev had an innate compositional gift that allowed him to work equally successfully from nature and from imagination. He had excellent drawing skills and possessed an infallible sense of painting.
B. Dzhumabajev's works in book graphics are marked by high artistic taste, depth of literary interpretation, richness of creative imagination, and sharpness of drawing. He left a mark in Kyrgyz visual arts as an artist of bright creative individuality.
Since 1964, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Participant in republican and all-union exhibitions. His works are housed in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, as well as in museums of the CIS.
