Orozaliev Konstantin Kerimkulovich
Cinematographer. Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR (1979). Born on January 7, 1943, in the city of Frunze.
After graduating from high school in 1960, he began working at the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio as a camera assistant and later became a camera operator. Since 1964, he was a student at the directing faculty (under the guidance of Professor Boris Israelovich Volchek) of VGIK. In his senior years, he worked extensively as a documentary filmmaker. He was the operator on the films "Overlapping" (1966), "Chinghiz Aitmatov" (1968), "Boom" (1969). He is a co-author, co-director (with M. Sherman), and operator of the sharp publicistic film "The Report is Not Finished" (1965). He defended his diploma as a cinematographer at VGIK with the film "Vakhra" (1968, diploma of the I degree and the "Tulpar" prize for the best short film at the VIII review-competition of cinematographers of Central Asia and Kazakhstan in Almaty in 1969).
After graduating from VGIK in 1969, K. Orozaliev continued to passionately shoot documentary films. From 1970 to 1973, he created "Surgeon" ("Kyrgyztelefilm"), "Bridges of Duyshene," "Morning of a Long Day," "10 Minutes Across the USSR," "City of Frunze," "Unforgettable Days," "Designers," "Motifs of Our Ancestors" ("Kyrgyzfilm"),
In 1973, K. Orozaliev presented his author work "Studies on Artists" ("Kyrgyztelefilm") — a report film about talented Kyrgyz artists Dzhambul Dzhumabaev, Satara Aitieva, Suimen kule Chokmorov, and others. Together with director Zh. Rakhmatulin, he created a research film about marriage and divorce "You Go Through Life" (1973, "Kyrgyzfilm"). 1974 was the year of filming the feature film "Soviet Kyrgyzstan" (dir. L. Turusbekova).
In 1972-1973, K. Orozaliev successfully debuted as a cinematographer for the feature film "Ochkarik" ("Kyrgyztelefilm," dir. A. Vidugiris). In 1974-1975, he filmed the feature film "Red Apple," working for the first time under the guidance of the famous director T. Okeeva. In 1976, he released the documentary film "Delegatka." In 1977, as a cinematographer, he shot the essays "The Wind Orchestra Plays" (dir. B. Vilensky), "Involvement" (dir. L. Turusbekova). In 1978, he released a major author film "Chinghiz Aitmatov" (together with V. Vilensky).
