Dzhamgerchinov Askar Begimalievich

Cinematographer. Member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1976. Born on November 22, 1950, in the city of Frunze to a family of civil servants. After graduating from high school in 1968, he enrolled in the cinematography department of VGIK. He graduated with honors, defending his diploma project—a short film "On the Baydamtal River" (1973).

A. Dzhamgerchinov has been working at the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio since 1972. Over the next eight years, he shot many segments for the newsreel "Soviet Kyrgyzstan." His experience in film periodicals helped him master the genre of informational documentary films. A. Dzhamgerchinov was the cinematographer for such films as "We Study the Russian Language" (1972), "Beet Harvesting Combine" (1972), "Family" (1975), a special release of "Soviet Kyrgyzstan" titled "Panfilovtsy" (1975), and "Science in Animal Husbandry" (1978).

From 1973 to 1975, participating as a second cinematographer in the creation of the films "Echo of Love" and "White Steamboat" by B. Shamsiev, A. Dzhamgerchinov fully demonstrated his knowledge of film production and creative initiative.

The young cinematographer showcased interesting portrait shooting and mastery of the expressive possibilities of light and color in the films "I Need to Consult" and "Sunny Island" (both in 1976).

Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR since 1977.
