Gulnara Zhakypova, who has been selling food to drivers from a trailer on the road to the coal mine in the Kara-Keche gorge in the Naryn region for 15 years, has a special treasure — a copper samovar made in 1833. She inherited it from her mother and claims it still works perfectly. “Some have offered me $3,000 for it, but I can’t sell it — it’s a memory of my mom. Every day I light a fire in it and brew tea for the drivers,” Gulnara shares.

In her menu, you can find 5–6 different dishes, among which homemade soups and pilaf are particularly popular. Gulnara notes that her regular customers are truck drivers who stop here to enjoy hot tea and delicious food from the antique samovar.
