In anticipation of the celebration of Kyrgyz Police Day, which is observed on November 1, Turmush employees conducted interviews with current and former law enforcement officers.
Police Lieutenant Colonel and investigator Marsbek Boshkulov shared his memories of solving high-profile crimes, including a sensational case in Tokmok.

Marsbek Okenovich Boshkulov, who works in the investigative department of the Tokmok City Police Department, has solved numerous serious crimes throughout his career and continues to serve in law enforcement. He was born on July 13, 1971, in the village of Lenin-Zhol in the Chuy region to a working-class family.

High-profile crimes from a decade ago

Several years ago, a series of murders of wealthy citizens occurred in Tokmok, who were brutally robbed. One day, while part of an investigative operational group, Boshkulov received a call. Upon arriving at the crime scene, he encountered a criminal who was holding a girl hostage, threatening her with a knife. "I saw that he was demanding to be let go. I had a gun, but I didn't want to risk the child's life. I told him not to touch the girl and pointed to the corridor," he recalls.

The criminal tried to escape without releasing the girl, but Boshkulov decided to intervene, dropping his weapon and tackling him to the ground. "When I pulled off his mask, I realized that life had spared me," he says, recalling that morning.

Attempt to escape from the hospital

This case occurred 10-15 years ago. That evening, around 9:30 PM, Boshkulov was on duty when a report of a murder in the Sakhzavod area came in. Upon arrival, they found the bodies of three women, brutally murdered. "When we began the examination, I noticed a blanket under which lay the body of an eight-year-old girl. It was a horrific case, and we worked until dawn," the lieutenant colonel recounts.

The crime was soon solved, and both perpetrators received life sentences. One of them later escaped from prison but was killed during apprehension. This case caused a significant stir on the internet.

The first criminal, Jumashov Muratbek Chynibekovich, was born on March 4, 1982, in Tokmok and was convicted of murder. His sentence began on July 3, 2009, in pre-trial detention center No. 50. He escaped on October 11-12, 2015, along with other inmates, resulting in the deaths of three GSIN employees.

Jumashov was apprehended but soon died in the hospital due to heart failure.

The second criminal, a nephew of the homeowner, was caught at the funeral of the victims, posing as a mourner. He escaped from the hospital dressed in women's clothing but was caught. The homeowner was a wealthy woman who had her sister, niece, and granddaughter visiting that day. The murderers learned of her wealth and decided to rob her. This monstrous crime became one of the most severe cases that Boshkulov had to investigate.

Personal story

Boshkulov lost his father when he was only six months old. His father, Oken Boshkulov, was born on May 5, 1928, and went to the front during World War II. He returned after the war but died in 1972, leaving his mother, Myty Momoqueshova, with four children. She raised them alone and dedicated all her efforts to their education.

"My mother was everything to us: both father and mother and friend. Her hardships and words about life helped shape qualities in me such as patience and resilience," he shares.

The path to success

Despite the difficulties, Boshkulov's childhood was spent in ordinary conditions. He studied well and engaged in sports, striving to be better than his peers. After graduating from school, he enrolled in the Tokmok Vocational Technical School, where he learned the trade of a carpenter.

After serving in the army, he continued his education, but soon his interest in the police grew, thanks to communication with his cousin, who worked in law enforcement. Thus began his journey into the police force.

Boshkulov graduated from the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy and was appointed as an investigator, fulfilling his dream. He emphasized the importance of attentiveness and precision in the work of an investigator, as well as respect and trust towards colleagues.

Conclusion

Police Lieutenant Colonel Boshkulov notes that his work in the internal affairs agencies has taught him much, including observance and patience. He is proud of his achievements and that this year he was awarded the "Kadyirman" medal, highlighting the significance of his labor.
