In Atatürk Park, employees of "Zelenstroy" planted several hundred trees.

We remind you that we have repeatedly written about the problem of tree destruction in the former 'Friendship' park. Thanks to the concern of local residents who do not want the park to be built over or turned into a dump, the municipal enterprise 'Zelenstroy' planted 345 deciduous trees in the southern part of the 'Atatürk' park. The employees of the enterprise also carried out pruning work on the undergrowth between Toktonalieva and Shakirova streets. Local residents also participated in the planting of saplings.

- The Forestry Department of the October district conducted an inspection of dead, emergency, and aesthetically unpleasing trees growing in the park zone, and as a result, a report was drawn up for their removal, - reported 'Zelenstroy'.

- It is gratifying to see that large-scale greening work has begun in the park, which has long been necessary. This is necessary to provide a food base for the animals and birds living in the park.

According to the public figure, during the removal of dead trees, chemical treatment will need to be conducted, as old trees are heavily infested with bark beetles that can destroy young saplings.

'Zelenstroy' explained that in the winter of 2015, about 700 pines and thuja will be planted in the park area covering 1.2 hectares. An irrigation network is planned to be installed for their watering.
