
From November 8 to 13, the Spartakiad of State Employees of the Kyrgyz Republic will take place at the sports facilities in Bishkek.
The program of the Spartakiad includes 12 accessible and popular sports. These include arm wrestling, billiards, volleyball, weightlifting, darts, mini-football, athletics, table tennis, shooting, toguz korgool, chess, and tug of war.
The Spartakiad is held to promote physical culture and sports within government agencies and to encourage civil servants to engage in regular physical activities and sports;
The overall management of the preparation and conduct of the Spartakiad is carried out by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The direct organization of the Spartakiad is entrusted to the main judging panel.
The competitions are held in two groups:
the first - among employees of law enforcement and security agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic;
the second - among employees of government agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic that do not belong to law enforcement agencies.
In the qualifying stages of the Spartakiad, heads of government agencies must participate in one of the competition programs. Participants may also be combined across two sports.
Participants who take prize-winning places will be awarded medals, diplomas, and cups of corresponding degrees from the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports. Based on the results of the competitions in all sports, overall team standings will also be determined.
