According to law enforcement agencies, Kumarbek A. also confessed to the rape and murder of a pregnant woman. A representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this during a live broadcast on the ELTR channel.
The incident involving Kamila Duyshebaeva occurred in 2014 when her body was found in a cemetery in the village of Baytik. An examination established that the cause of death was strangulation, and the case had remained unsolved until that moment.
The investigation also revealed that in 2011, the body of A.Zh.Z., born in 1989, was discovered in the Sokuluk district, who had been wanted after disappearing on February 12 of the same year. During the investigation, it was found that Kumarbek A. raped and killed her when she was eight months pregnant.
One of Kumarbek's surviving victims recounted how she miraculously escaped death. On October 13, 2015, he attempted to kill her by throwing her into a canal, but the girl managed to get out and seek help.
After the victim reported to law enforcement, Kumarbek was arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2016. However, the sentence was later reduced to 7 years, and he was conditionally released in 2018. It is important to note that three judges who reviewed his case were dismissed as part of an anti-corruption campaign.
The investigation has begun to review other unsolved cases, indicating that Kumarbek may have committed more crimes than previously thought.
